POTD: Vertical v. Horizontal: Exclusive or Inclusive

I thought these two shots were an interesting illustration of the challenge: vertical v. horizontal. The meaning or interpretation of the two shots really changes depending on the composition.

Horizontal it's very exclusive, prohibitive.

Vertical it has context; it's about choices, alternatives.

What a difference a change of perspective makes.

Great post! And I thought of you today when I was at a middle school--their bathrooms said ladies and gentlemen (in case you're taking a poll ha ha).

Wow, so true! It's amazing how your perspective changed once you had more information (in the vertical shot)! COOL!
